The Five Bells Residential Care Home

Our residential care services are based at the Five Bells in the idyllic village of Folkingham in Lincolnshire. We pride ourselves in offering a true home-from-home experience, whether within our Grade II Listed main building, or in one of our apartments or private rental properties we’re able to provide you with as much or as little independence as you wish supported by 24/7 care whenever you need it.

All our staff are hand-picked for their caring nature, given extensive training and reference checked before joining our team. In addition, they are given ongoing support and training to continue to develop their skills and knowledge.

Our famed kitchen team provide fresh, nutritious daily cooked meals, with meats & vegetables sourced locally. Our menu varies each and every week and all dietary needs are accommodated.

We have a small number of individual garden apartments at the site. These have a separate entrance, lounge, bedroom, wet room and under floor heating. They offer independence, additional privacy and security to residents as they are separate units but remain adjoined to the main building so staff can be on hand whenever needed. Couples can be accommodated in these residences.

We offer a wide-range of weekly activities which are tailored to each individual persons needs. These range from one-one activities such art and crafts to group activities such as karaoke. The Five Bells has close connections to the local community in Folkingham with our residents regularly attending outside functions as well as inviting our neighbours to join our festivities.

With visiting practitioners, hairdressers, chiropodists amongst many others we can take care of most needs onsite. Should you need leave the site for appointments elsewhere we can also arrange for one of our team to accompany you.

We also offer independent accommodation in our Tannery lane apartments. These provide a unique setting for individuals or couples over the age of 55 to live independently within a like-minded community with the comforting knowledge that 24hr care and support is available from the adjacent care home (The Five Bells) whenever it is required.

Each apartment has its own front door giving residents vital independence and privacy. All apartments have their own kitchen, lounge, bathroom and either one double or one double and one single sized bedrooms. Nursecall facilities are in each property. Parking spaces are also available on request.

A significant benefit the apartments offer is the ability for couples to remain together, living in a property with support on-hand where one individual has significant care needs and the other may have none at all. The flexibility of our care delivery systems accommodate for this.
There are also plenty of outdoor communal spaces available on the site for use by residents which are perfect to enjoy all year round. In particular, at the rear of Tannery Lane the views open out onto undisturbed Pasture farmland with regular visits from a variety of local wildlife.
